Spring In The House

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Its finally staring to warm up in my neck of the woods. It was a beautiful day today. In  need of little a recharge I decided to add a little spring in the house.

A while ago I decided to use a few of my decorating books as decorative elements on my coffee table. It keeps my books handy and adds a little color to my room. I can  reach for a book and browse through it without having to dig one out of a box. I didn't do a lot, just some new pillows and a springtime vignette on the coffee table and end  table

I added moss to peat pots and eggs under a cloche. I used a pretty plate to hold it all

.
A moss ball was added to an urn that I painted and distressed. Along with some potted tulips that I purchased at the grocery store.

I added a birdcage to the side table that my husband bought home from a function and a nest under a cloche. Can you believe that they threw the birdcages used for centerpieces in the trash? It was formerly green and I spray painted it white. I added purple ball jars filled with flowers to the birdcage. The greenery and pussy willow arrangement was on the coffee table but people who shall remain nameless kept moving it because it blocked their view of the tv so I just plunked it down on my stacked suitcases and there it stayed.

I'll talk a little more about the new pillows and other changes in a later post, when I finally share some more updates. As Always thanks for taking the time to visit. I'll be joining these great linkups this week,
