In Memorium

Paris our beloved fur baby has departed this earth, She was our little ray of sunshine for twelve wonderful years. Paris had one mission in life and that was to love and be loved. She was the most gentle  and loving dog I've ever known. She displayed no signs of illness and left this earth gently, the very same way she lived. She went to sleep on Thursday evening November 6th and slipped away early Friday morning November 7th. We are crushed and our home has a large hole in it. We are grateful for the 12 wonderful years of unconditional love and joy she bought our family. She is and always will be, deeply missed.

  4. Oh Karen...I am so sorry. Our fur babies are such an important part of our lives. We have lost so many over the years, but wouldn't have missed having them in our lives for anything. Something I have done in remembrance of past loved pets is to plant a tree or shrub or rosebush for them in my garden. Each time I see this plant, I am reminded of them and the love they brought into my life. Much love to you and your family. Sue at the Little Shack

  5. Awwwwww I don't know how i ended up here, but i just read this post and i wanted to say how very sorry i am. it's so very hard to lose a family pet, and i also call them family members, because when you lose one that's been with you for so very long and you love them so very much, it's really just like losing a person.

It's a blessing to all of you that she went to heaven the way she did, but still i know that doesn't ease your pain. It's nice to know she was so loved and such a part of all of you.

We had a golden retriever that left us only after 8 years and it was so very hard. My husband made him the most beautiful coffin and he is now buried out back along the fence yard underneath the shade tree. I wasn't about to put him anywhere else.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss,

    blessings

  23. What a beautiful passing Karen which l'm sure made the experience more tolerable for you. As the queen said to Prince William when his mum lady Diana passed away....grief is the price we pay for loving. Those words have helped me over the years and l hope they help you too....take care.

  26. I JUST found your blog and went straight to your post about Paris. Probably was drawn to this post because I have been a death row dog rescue worker for over 37 years, saving one dog at a time and I know your pain. Dogs are central to my life and purpose on this earth. As a dog mom I know the depth of the pain you feel after the loss of your fur kid. I am so very sorry for this huge loss and pray your heart will soon begin the healing journey.
    God Bless You.
