Book Page Wreath Again?

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

I made two folded book page wreaths, the first one was for Halloween. I also wanted to make an everyday wreath using the same method. I wanted it to be romantic and pretty, one that could be used in farmhouse, cottage or shabby chic decor. Here's what I came up with.

The pages were fan folded and then folded in half and stapled on the folded edge, then they were glued to a paper cake circle.

I used a copy of a vintage music book cover for the center. It was glued to the back of a paper plate and attached to the circle using a small cube of Styrofoam to lift it up a little.

I think it has a ruffly look that makes it kind of feminine and pretty, especially with the addition of the sheet music image.

It's pretty quick to make and because the papers are folded in half I don't think you need as many pages. They fan out and look really full.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be joining these linkups this week

  2. I love it, Karen! It does look romantic and like it would fit in with cottage or shabby chic décor. Did it take a lot of patience to do the pages?

  18. Love how your wreath looks with the center graphic, perfect. Gives wreath a special style. I've been wanting to make one of these so think you've really inspired me to get my glue gun out, get busy. I just need to put everything else aside to tackle this, maybe have to make it in different segments as I have time, then hope I don't run out of glue sticks. Hope mine turns out half as gorgeous as yours. Glad you shared this post. Happy days
