It seem as though we just decorated for Christmas and now its time to bring out the Spring and Easter decor. Where did the time go? This year I was in the mood for a little whimsy for Easter so I bought out the tons of Easter bunnies and eggs I've been collecting for ever. I always buy things at the end of the season and literally pay a few cents for most of them. I busted the ole bunnies and eggs out and this is what I came up with after a lot of tinkering. Sometimes things just wont flow, but eventually I came up with something.
The vintage look bunnies in the egg and the bunny riding a bunny in the cloche both came from Marshalls, both clearance items a couple of years ago.
I liked the way the lamb picture looked with the Easter decor so I left it in the vignette. I painted the carrots white, the orange just clashed with all of the pastel colors. The hobnail compote was a recent purchase from Goodwill. My lamb in the nest was a dollar store purchase and the nest came in a three pack on clearance from Marshalls a while ago, The fabric covered eggs came from Tuesday Morning last year.
My little Easter house was bought from Pier One Imports last year and if I'm not mistaken it was .99 cents.
The faux cherry blossoms are from my hoard, I mean stash of silk flowers. I bought the hurricane at an after Christmas sale at Pier One Imports years ago.
I think these fabric eggs are really cute. I especially like the ribbon flowers and embroidered stems.
The bunnies in the egg were clearance priced because one of the bunnies is missing a ear. I love the vintage look of it and the missing ear adds to the charm.
A lamb in a nest? Why not.
