My daughter and I went thrifting last week, she for clothing and me for whatever vintage find I couldn't live with out. I found a thirty piece set of vintage Homer Laughlin China for 7.00 bucks. Woo Hoo, I was so excited I scooped it up and ran to the checkout. I have a few other pieces that I paid 1.00 or more for each piece so this was a really good buy. The pattern is so delicate and pretty I was smitten. I had to get it Right? What do you think?
I would have paid seven bucks just for the sugar bowl or creamer. The thrift store where I bought these raise money for the community food bank. They have lots of great stuff at really good prices.
I also found a couple of small Johnson Brother pieces at the Good Will store. They were half off so I paid 1.50 for each piece.
There's a guy who does a show in the Mall. He sells vintage furniture and other items. I always find something great at his show and for a really great price. This time I found something I have wanted for a long time. I almost did the happy dance when I found it . A vintage Coke crate nice and shabby.
I found a box of vintage doilies at the hospital affiliated thrift store for .79 cents for 100. I like the packaging as much as the doilies. I have lots of craft projects in mind for these.
I also found this pretty monogrammed silver plated bowl at the same thrift store. It's heavily tarnished but if I choose to clean it up I'm sure it will be gorgeous.
I have a thing for these silver bowls. Every time I find one I have to buy it. I think I got a lot of great things and didn't spend too much money, that's a win win in my book. The only problem is where in the heck am I gonna put this stuff? I'll squeeze it in some how. LOL. Who said they were calling hoarders? LOL.

I absolutely would have bought that china!!! It is so pretty and the pattern isn't worn off. So often when I find a pretty set, I can tell that it has been washed in the dishwasher, the pattern is completely worn off.
