I also decided to try flocking and glittering some natural acorns.
I used Martha Stewart's white flocking powder on the acorns and added snow glitter and silver glass glitter to the tops. They would be cute in a bowl or jar or added to a Christmas wreath. I cant believe I'm doing Christmas projects. I'll be sharing with these great parties,

Aren't you clever. I just love finding pics of ideas that I know I want to make. I sort of need that little extra 'push' of creativity.

I guess I missed the acorns in the zine you mentioned. Will have to look more carefully or you have a different zine than I do.
ReplyDeleteThe acorns are so pretty and festive. Aren't you the clever gal for making those with a sweater.
I often have to substitute some thing beside what is used in a zine or what I see on a blog since I live out in country and a "run into town" just isn't possible all the time. I live about 20 miles from the nearest craft store. Makes me think tho and usually my "other than's" turn out pretty ok. Found you thru Diaper, Dinner & Design (think that's right blog). Signed up to subscribe right away. Will look forward to seeing what projects you make and what you're up to. Happy Weekend.
Karen, I'm in love with these adorable acorns. Would love for you to share at Simple & Sweet Fridays. Everybody will be inspired!!
