New Thrifty Treasures

I'm back and I'd like to thank everyone who offered me well wishes. I'm feeling much better but not quite up to speed.  I have some new thrifty treasures that I'd like to share. I bought these before I got sick. Since I love looking at everyone's treasures I thought it only fair to share mine as well. Here are some of my great finds.

I got this pretty silver plate coffee pot from The Salvation Army thrift shop. I cant resist silver pieces.

I also bought this  pretty relish tray.

I found this pretty pair of milk glass compotes at Goodwill for .99 cents each.

I found this gorgeous tureen at Good will as well. I don't know if its new or old the only markings on it are are carved in and its CHF 2 I don't know what that means , but I know I'm crazy about this piece.

I found this cute Lefton vase, I like cherubs but I only have one other piece with  cherubs. It has a crack on the neck,  but for 1.99 I'll take it.

I think I got a pretty good haul for about 18.00 dollars for everything.

I'm so glad to be back and I'll be visiting everyone. I cant wait to see what you have been up to. I'll have a couple of great chair projects to share soon.

I'm joining Cindy at  My Romantic Home  for Show And Tell Friday. And  French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday and At The Picket Fence for  Inspiration Friday and The Shabby Nest for Frugal Friday and  Mel  DREAMS Often  Fancy Friday Blog Hop and  Its so very Cheri  for Party Time.

  9. Love your tureen. I got one at my Goodwill for $3.00. The week before I had paid $45.00 for one on eBay...such terrible timing! Isn't it amazing the things people give away?

  16. Just to share with you folks, i have a new post today on Amish Stories from the Terre Hill days even that was just held in Lancaster Pennsylvania. It was a very hot day but i was able to get i think a few good images from this event. The town is populated with a mix of Amish and old order Mennonites which only adds to its charm. They even have what has become famous in Terre Hill their "outhouse race". The town sits on a hill so it overlooks Lancaster farmland in almost all directions. This is one of my favorite towns to visit because its free from commercialism, so if you are looking for a really all American kind of town with the added bonus of seeing its Amish and Mennonite residents at work and play, then this town is for you. Thanks folks. Richard from Amish Stories.

  23. Glad you're feeling better. Sometimes time spent at goodwill makes me feel better too. I usually only have luck with the clothes. I wish I could find treasures like that it's usually complete junk at the one near us.
