In The Garden

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Although I'm still planting, weeding and working on designing flower beds the garden is waking up. Here are a few random shots.

Although we complain about all of the rain it seems the garden is thriving because of it. Something good comes from everything. I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my garden. I'll be joining these ladies this week.

  6. Your pictures are amazing! Is that dianthus that is tall and reddish pink?

  7. Your pictures are just so awesome, they look like watercolors! I'm wondering what the tall, leggy flowers are with the red blooms. They look so pretty mixed in with everything!

  9. You are quite a botanical garden photographer. Really enjoyed seeing your beautiful garden, lots of hard work but worth it for the results. I loved all the flowers but especially the hostas. I'd never heard of hostas til we lived in KY where they seemed to grow wild, everything did. Think we only watered our yards maybe twice the 5 yrs. we lived there.
I didn't think I'd ever say it but I miss KY, many things about it. The humidity was very hard on my health but the green and so many other things were wonderful.

  12. I certainly DID enjoy your lovely garden pictures. You have so much colour - so nice!

I do hope it clears up for you soon, after a good rain that sun just makes everything so green and grow so nicely! (Weeds too but why go there, right?)

  13. Lovely gardens. I wish I could keep hosta growing. Even with snail bait, the snails tear them up around here.

Il tuo giardino è molto bello.
Anche in Italia, nonostante il brutto tempo, l'estate ormai è arrivata.
    Buona giornata e buon giardinaggio.

  20. Very pretty shots -- what are those tiny red flowers and the purple, horn-shaped ones? So colorful. We've been drowning in rain here and it appears to be good for somethings but not others. It's also been gray and cool so my garden is dying for some heat and sun!
