Happy Spring Friends. I couldn't let Easter slip by without sharing a fun table setting. Setting a pretty table is one of my favorite things to do.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I23y5QRDEaw/VvDF2WgEu5I/AAAAAAAAQc4/g6hLD5dQBi4U0KN3KsTxllCydnM8TJ_MA/s1600/IMG_5499.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I23y5QRDEaw/VvDF2WgEu5I/AAAAAAAAQc4/g6hLD5dQBi4U0KN3KsTxllCydnM8TJ_MA/s640/IMG_5499.jpg" width="449" /></a></div>
<br />
Its even more fun when I get to use things that I already own with a few pretty flowers thrown in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hTUwoQK5ZP8/VvDF2d562vI/AAAAAAAAQc4/iUBr_r20mFw5gNzGFow0v9djdyiQDArNg/s1600/IMG_5500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hTUwoQK5ZP8/VvDF2d562vI/AAAAAAAAQc4/iUBr_r20mFw5gNzGFow0v9djdyiQDArNg/s640/IMG_5500.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I did buy the cabbage leaf placemats this year from Pier one imports. The plates are my everyday white plates and the cutlery is from Walmart<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BeqpQFV6L-w/VvDF2TkJM2I/AAAAAAAAQc4/iQEMvNvyNJwDPd6xCUngCzBGEMbD6J78w/s1600/IMG_5522.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BeqpQFV6L-w/VvDF2TkJM2I/AAAAAAAAQc4/iQEMvNvyNJwDPd6xCUngCzBGEMbD6J78w/s640/IMG_5522.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Its really hard to photograph this small dining area. Theres no pretty architecture and if you shoot at certain angles you capture the front door or the side of the fridge. Add to that the room is undergoing a makeover so the decor is rather bland and incomplete right now. So we'll just focus on the table.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4Pq7lsIWr4I/VvDF2RSE-eI/AAAAAAAAQc4/TPn880bctqgoynOeJUAJXv8tiUJDVYdoA/s1600/IMG_5513.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4Pq7lsIWr4I/VvDF2RSE-eI/AAAAAAAAQc4/TPn880bctqgoynOeJUAJXv8tiUJDVYdoA/s640/IMG_5513.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My silver chargers are from the dollar store and I've had them for years as are the wine glasses. The napkins are flower sack towels from Target.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ij1ha8WanP0/VvDF2Z6edhI/AAAAAAAAQc4/fIBhITXrmUMMgbymmOC3eDb8TVZp4q6hA/s1600/IMG_5491.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ij1ha8WanP0/VvDF2Z6edhI/AAAAAAAAQc4/fIBhITXrmUMMgbymmOC3eDb8TVZp4q6hA/s640/IMG_5491.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I made burlap and moss nest from my craft stash and added them to the bowls, the paper mache eggs were bought on clearance from Joannes and I painted them with chalk paint and tied them with twine. I have bags full of moss and burlap! doesn't everyone?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WAvCh_VbqV8/VvDF2Un1UpI/AAAAAAAAQc4/nIFwfYwu2aQyWMPjdPG5d-pMdOy8-UCEg/s1600/IMG_5507.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WAvCh_VbqV8/VvDF2Un1UpI/AAAAAAAAQc4/nIFwfYwu2aQyWMPjdPG5d-pMdOy8-UCEg/s640/IMG_5507.jpg" width="634" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
For a little color a I added these sweet muscari hyacinths to egg cups and placed them at each place setting.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-txA_zyfhSeE/VvDF2eCK39I/AAAAAAAAQc4/MV1nP0niIzkc4YZFOCT1EpFF9xib0E8ew/s1600/IMG_5515.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-txA_zyfhSeE/VvDF2eCK39I/AAAAAAAAQc4/MV1nP0niIzkc4YZFOCT1EpFF9xib0E8ew/s640/IMG_5515.jpg" width="564" /></a></div>
<br />
More chalk painted eggs and moss were added to the table in thrifted milk glass bowls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TDmXYhy-TQk/VvDF2SdXoJI/AAAAAAAAQc4/3Et8LVyuegs4qJ23doM1qSR73OCi4sUgA/s1600/IMG_5516.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TDmXYhy-TQk/VvDF2SdXoJI/AAAAAAAAQc4/3Et8LVyuegs4qJ23doM1qSR73OCi4sUgA/s640/IMG_5516.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The centerpiece was made in a thrifted soup tureen that looks like a basket.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xgCgWS4e89M/VvDF2RdXIAI/AAAAAAAAQc4/drA7iVnTn60T1WJjCtQ-bFWR1ZKqS9wiA/s1600/IMG_5495.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xgCgWS4e89M/VvDF2RdXIAI/AAAAAAAAQc4/drA7iVnTn60T1WJjCtQ-bFWR1ZKqS9wiA/s640/IMG_5495.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My tablecloth is from The Christmas Tree Shoppe and I added a wall paper runner that looks like planked wood. Candles were added to small jars that I purchased at the Target dollar spot. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. A lot of things are changing around here I'll be back soon with a few updates. Joining these linkups this week,<br />

Hello friends! I've been having a great time viewing all of the wonderful Christmas home tours. It's been a struggle this year getting my home done, but I managed to do a little something.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mBvDN2UrU5U/VnMMLPTQrJI/AAAAAAAAQL4/VrjG4jRdfS4/s1600/IMG_5405.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mBvDN2UrU5U/VnMMLPTQrJI/AAAAAAAAQL4/VrjG4jRdfS4/s640/IMG_5405.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
.<br />
I wanted to use black, white and silver with a touch of blush.For the black and white I used this cute deer head ribbon and for the blush I painted a few wooden ornaments and added the prettiest blush frosted hydrangeas from Michaels. I placed the tree in a galvanized tub and surrounded it with pretty packages and a deer to watch over everything..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oYOb9vAzC-c/VnMNutJVW5I/AAAAAAAAQMM/jr-tPi2lSBY/s1600/IMG_5447.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oYOb9vAzC-c/VnMNutJVW5I/AAAAAAAAQMM/jr-tPi2lSBY/s640/IMG_5447.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here are a couple of detail shots of the tree,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RxmVbHGpDAQ/VnMNumpYRNI/AAAAAAAAQMI/bBwCawYKMBU/s1600/IMG_5448.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RxmVbHGpDAQ/VnMNumpYRNI/AAAAAAAAQMI/bBwCawYKMBU/s640/IMG_5448.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iCCS8AJ8hGE/VnMOZODG-yI/AAAAAAAAQMg/Sbo_Fqbwmoc/s1600/IMG_5406C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iCCS8AJ8hGE/VnMOZODG-yI/AAAAAAAAQMg/Sbo_Fqbwmoc/s640/IMG_5406C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I placed a few pretty packages on the floor under the tree and placed greenery and pine cones in a crate, along with the ubiquitous Target dollar spot skis.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e_Qo7iUlrGw/VnMRPpygtbI/AAAAAAAAQNI/N3FN4ZFkIZk/s1600/IMG_5428.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e_Qo7iUlrGw/VnMRPpygtbI/AAAAAAAAQNI/N3FN4ZFkIZk/s640/IMG_5428.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t6GJg9cTXyU/VnMR2wYFjxI/AAAAAAAAQNQ/SMAsE83Ktv0/s1600/IMG_5432A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t6GJg9cTXyU/VnMR2wYFjxI/AAAAAAAAQNQ/SMAsE83Ktv0/s640/IMG_5432A.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I carried the black and white thru the living room by adding in black and white windowpane check pillows and I just wrapped some faux fur around my white pillows and hung a snowball garland across the window, to which I added mercury glass ornaments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AneXm_u4tRQ/VnMR29hhMsI/AAAAAAAAQNY/fqQoArXhtyk/s1600/IMG_5433D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AneXm_u4tRQ/VnMR29hhMsI/AAAAAAAAQNY/fqQoArXhtyk/s640/IMG_5433D.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a length of faux fur and added it to the coffee table. I filled a terrarium with a woodland scene and added it to the table</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S86Ku7p7NSU/VnMUMNYCayI/AAAAAAAAQOY/9wL5Dp4wMdU/s1600/IMG_5454.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S86Ku7p7NSU/VnMUMNYCayI/AAAAAAAAQOY/9wL5Dp4wMdU/s640/IMG_5454.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Close ups of the inside of terrarium.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ms1_QjSkPpk/VnMUL5CmRDI/AAAAAAAAQOM/naWExOZlRG0/s1600/IMG_5411.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ms1_QjSkPpk/VnMUL5CmRDI/AAAAAAAAQOM/naWExOZlRG0/s640/IMG_5411.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I draped garland around my Chandelier like usual, but this year I didn't add snowflakes, I put a few crystals on the branches but they really don't show up in the pics.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XO8VDKBSikc/VnMVgS_J33I/AAAAAAAAQOc/pO572mldyp4/s1600/IMG_5385.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XO8VDKBSikc/VnMVgS_J33I/AAAAAAAAQOc/pO572mldyp4/s640/IMG_5385.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Please forgive my random silver chandy arm, I was trying out a new color lol,<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h06t8hz8YYc/VnMWQ4tcWNI/AAAAAAAAQP0/20HulqBQfok/s1600/IMG_5422.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h06t8hz8YYc/VnMWQ4tcWNI/AAAAAAAAQP0/20HulqBQfok/s640/IMG_5422.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I made two faux fur wreaths by cutting strips of fur and wrapping it around a wreath form.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QSV64NsK_NM/VnMWPDP-9UI/AAAAAAAAQOo/YrD_1DVgcms/s1600/IMG_5387.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QSV64NsK_NM/VnMWPDP-9UI/AAAAAAAAQOo/YrD_1DVgcms/s640/IMG_5387.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I created cute woodland scenes under glass for the table centerpiece and made a runner from the same window pane fabric that I used for the pillows and throw on the wing chair<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />

Its always fun decorating for Halloween. I usually set up a vignette on my buffet but since its being repurposed I decided to do a fun budget friendly tablescape.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l_MWXYSRiMA/Vi6m4L79gwI/AAAAAAAAPrw/kpw5XlODYXo/s1600/20151025-IMG_5330.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l_MWXYSRiMA/Vi6m4L79gwI/AAAAAAAAPrw/kpw5XlODYXo/s640/20151025-IMG_5330.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I used things I had on hand and a few new pieces bought from the Dollar store, Target and Marshalls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kLczlcdfe5E/Vi6oN1H4fcI/AAAAAAAAPr8/iIIbYPyCZ58/s1600/20151025-IMG_5379.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kLczlcdfe5E/Vi6oN1H4fcI/AAAAAAAAPr8/iIIbYPyCZ58/s640/20151025-IMG_5379.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I bought the tombstone chair covers from the Dollar store. The black plates also came from the Dollar store, as well as the black roses on the napkins. The spider web place mats were made from two tote bags that I purchased for three dollars each at Target. I just split each bag down the center of the gusseted sides and bottom and folded the cut sides under. I got four place mats out of two totes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NqhthCNWTgs/Vi6qeLYomKI/AAAAAAAAPsI/XAdmLypEv2Q/s1600/20151025-IMG_5331.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NqhthCNWTgs/Vi6qeLYomKI/AAAAAAAAPsI/XAdmLypEv2Q/s640/20151025-IMG_5331.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my everyday flatware,goblets that I bought from a thrift store years ago and candlesticks that were also old thrift store finds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vvopfqJC2Tw/Vi6rvgfM4gI/AAAAAAAAPsQ/uxXaKSfPvWo/s1600/20151025-IMG_5383.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vvopfqJC2Tw/Vi6rvgfM4gI/AAAAAAAAPsQ/uxXaKSfPvWo/s640/20151025-IMG_5383.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The cute Halloween bowls were bought from Marshalls and the chalkboard tags came from Targets dollar spot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XMJbz-9inOY/Vi6tz3IpOcI/AAAAAAAAPsc/2hWkKw5Ysnk/s1600/20151025-IMG_5332.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XMJbz-9inOY/Vi6tz3IpOcI/AAAAAAAAPsc/2hWkKw5Ysnk/s640/20151025-IMG_5332.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The skull centerpiece also came from Target and the creepy rat from the Dollar store.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bjcINCtQgyw/Vi6uRLifq4I/AAAAAAAAPsk/41_l2rnzE9s/s1600/20151025-IMG_5353.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bjcINCtQgyw/Vi6uRLifq4I/AAAAAAAAPsk/41_l2rnzE9s/s640/20151025-IMG_5353.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The bony hands creeping out are salad tongs! also a Dollar store find.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_OdDeFrnR7g/Vi6m0D06uTI/AAAAAAAAPrs/WV6-sfpjYX4/s1600/20151025-IMG_5360.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_OdDeFrnR7g/Vi6m0D06uTI/AAAAAAAAPrs/WV6-sfpjYX4/s640/20151025-IMG_5360.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I added sparkly black twigs and a few creepy bugs to the pumpkins and scattered a few around the table.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eRZMsIdJz5k/Vi6wPHlsMfI/AAAAAAAAPtE/J2j8Ck9SrLs/s1600/20151025-IMG_5352.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eRZMsIdJz5k/Vi6wPHlsMfI/AAAAAAAAPtE/J2j8Ck9SrLs/s640/20151025-IMG_5352.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Theres that bony hand again! The flowers surrounding the skull and pumpkins under the cloche are dried hydrangeas saved from the garden. At first I thought they dried a really ugly color, but I think they're perfect for Halloween. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AmaoXwF0Mc8/Vi60-CMibCI/AAAAAAAAPtg/8SqMb4CK8ZM/s1600/20151025-IMG_5350.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AmaoXwF0Mc8/Vi60-CMibCI/AAAAAAAAPtg/8SqMb4CK8ZM/s640/20151025-IMG_5350.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AQkVdecePxA/Vi60-F_fTfI/AAAAAAAAPtc/YRIE03DLOSQ/s1600/20151025-IMG_5351.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AQkVdecePxA/Vi60-F_fTfI/AAAAAAAAPtc/YRIE03DLOSQ/s640/20151025-IMG_5351.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NZ-wM7C6SMo/Vi60-Ap2auI/AAAAAAAAPtY/OsmlrnlOib8/s1600/20151025-IMG_5370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NZ-wM7C6SMo/Vi60-Ap2auI/AAAAAAAAPtY/OsmlrnlOib8/s640/20151025-IMG_5370.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
All totaled the whole tablescape came in at around 26.00. The most expensive being the cute bowls from Marshals. They were 7.99 for four. Everything else was 1.00 - 3.00 dollars each. I hope you enjoyed my Halloween table and weren't too creeped out! Thanks for stopping by. I'll be joining these fun linkups this week,<br />

Setting a pretty table is one of my favorite things to do, I could play with dishes and tablescapes all day long. You all know that I love a neutral palette in decor, well I also love a soft and neutral table.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-owuQQ9z6IEI/Vh_HFRtuvsI/AAAAAAAAPdM/u2xxvhzP0xs/s1600/20151014-IMG_5327.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-owuQQ9z6IEI/Vh_HFRtuvsI/AAAAAAAAPdM/u2xxvhzP0xs/s640/20151014-IMG_5327.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
For this table I wanted soft colors, so I started out with white pumpkins, grey velvet pumpkins white hydrangeas, soft lambs ear and dusty miller to make an arrangement in a galvanized planter<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5vVUtkjY1sY/Vh-_RzF7yrI/AAAAAAAAPbw/4fmlv02Tv-k/s1600/20151014-IMG_5321.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5vVUtkjY1sY/Vh-_RzF7yrI/AAAAAAAAPbw/4fmlv02Tv-k/s640/20151014-IMG_5321.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To add texture as well as to offset the soft colors I used grapevine wreaths as chargers.I washed them with a watered down mixture of white and grey paint . I wanted to keep the texture and most of the original color and just soften them a little.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9OkmRr57sNo/Vh_A5cyM_yI/AAAAAAAAPb8/G5MlIGw3XQg/s1600/20151014-IMG_5317.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9OkmRr57sNo/Vh_A5cyM_yI/AAAAAAAAPb8/G5MlIGw3XQg/s640/20151014-IMG_5317.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The softness of the arrangement set the tone for everything that followed, from the selection of dishes and cutlery to the candlesticks and napkins.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xBoArZpS_wI/Vh_CasqG5pI/AAAAAAAAPcQ/cidmqdn2EIc/s1600/20151014-IMG_5327.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xBoArZpS_wI/Vh_CasqG5pI/AAAAAAAAPcQ/cidmqdn2EIc/s640/20151014-IMG_5327.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I tied the napkins with twine and added a feather. To reflect the bounty of the season autumnal fruits and gourds were added to the table along with twigs from the yard<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OUT3k2SxkdM/Vh_EuQkgFyI/AAAAAAAAPck/hS3Vk1qWdcU/s1600/20151014-IMG_5305.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OUT3k2SxkdM/Vh_EuQkgFyI/AAAAAAAAPck/hS3Vk1qWdcU/s640/20151014-IMG_5305.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I added pops of green with artichokes and dusty miller to the table.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V1rOccJMQU0/Vh_DTLdhSOI/AAAAAAAAPcY/Xsn_bpCEBd8/s1600/20151014-IMG_5309.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V1rOccJMQU0/Vh_DTLdhSOI/AAAAAAAAPcY/Xsn_bpCEBd8/s640/20151014-IMG_5309.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The sparkle of mercury glass plays nicely with the galvanized planter. I used a table runner made from wallpaper that mimics planked wood.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />

Hello my friends, I've had a long break, but I'm back! It was not my intention to be away for the whole summer but health issues have slowed me down. Enough about that for now. Lets get on with my mini fall tour.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ix0fm19R2J0/VgG7mDZm2XI/AAAAAAAAPMY/AMruS-oW0Zw/s1600/20150921-IMG_5245.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ix0fm19R2J0/VgG7mDZm2XI/AAAAAAAAPMY/AMruS-oW0Zw/s640/20150921-IMG_5245.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
I love whites and neutrals but this year I wanted to add a little color. Although my palette is still pretty neutral its not all white. I added gray, taupe and pops of copper and turquoise vases. The pretty pillow in my wing chair is a design by the amazing talent Lucy of <a href="http://www.craftberrybush.com/">Craftberrybush</a>.<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r4SWxMiRcBw/VgG_W6xLGAI/AAAAAAAAPNE/S11C1ZhHNb8/s1600/20150921-IMG_5264.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r4SWxMiRcBw/VgG_W6xLGAI/AAAAAAAAPNE/S11C1ZhHNb8/s640/20150921-IMG_5264.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In addition to my pops of color I also added three cozy throws.Two soft plaids and my fur throw that I purchased last Christmas from Pier One.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Sen-JaAfBj4/VgHASfv7cAI/AAAAAAAAPNM/ku0c2E6pvao/s1600/20150921-IMG_5258.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Sen-JaAfBj4/VgHASfv7cAI/AAAAAAAAPNM/ku0c2E6pvao/s640/20150921-IMG_5258.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
I added pumpkins antlers greenery and feathers to a white platter for my coffee table.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UGpsq1a1s2w/VgHB9W-icBI/AAAAAAAAPNY/K1bXyZZsqXg/s1600/20150921-IMG_5277.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UGpsq1a1s2w/VgHB9W-icBI/AAAAAAAAPNY/K1bXyZZsqXg/s640/20150921-IMG_5277.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Coverless books and a turquoise vase with burlap leaves and berries were also added.</div>
<div>

The side table is wearing a planter that I painted and added an image transfer too a while ago. To the planter I added dried hydrangeas from my garden, a pretty gray velvet pumpkin, feathers and a cute mini pillow purchased from Targets 3 dollar spot. The turquoise vases were bought from Marshals and are a carry over from my summer decor. I just added some fall berries and white Chinese lantern stems.</div>

I put a grain sack look runner on the dining room table and added two pillar candlesticks that started out life as white gazing ball stands. Hello friends, remember me? I'm popping in after my summer blogging hiatus to share a little news. I was contacted several months ago about having one of my projects featured in the 2015 issue of Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts Magazine. At first I thought I was being punked, but after corresponding with the editors I realized it was true. A magazine wanted to publish one of my crafts! say what!! I'm beyond flattered and still a little shocked.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WL0WhiT_K18/VdqU1En9GcI/AAAAAAAAO34/hdhSi49HZC0/s1600/20150823-IMG_5232.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="425" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WL0WhiT_K18/VdqU1En9GcI/AAAAAAAAO34/hdhSi49HZC0/s640/20150823-IMG_5232.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The project they wanted to feature was a Christmas candle trio that I did about three years ago. If you would like to see the original post click <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2012/11/romantic-candles.html?showComment=1353277983359#c1006748290340909806">here</a>. This is the original project<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1eWm0egJ4bM/UKf2q3HYtGI/AAAAAAAAC7U/FDHpjffj5Ak/s1600/IMG_2023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1eWm0egJ4bM/UKf2q3HYtGI/AAAAAAAAC7U/FDHpjffj5Ak/s640/IMG_2023.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I was a little worried because I didn't have the materials to make an exact duplicate, but the editors assured me that it would be okay to make them as close as possible to the originals. Here is the magazine version.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lfIwAjjf7KI/VdqYOjdtk0I/AAAAAAAAO4Q/p9VEUDHmpoo/s1600/20150823-IMG_5234.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lfIwAjjf7KI/VdqYOjdtk0I/AAAAAAAAO4Q/p9VEUDHmpoo/s640/20150823-IMG_5234.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I like the way they styled the candles on the cake stand with the snow and gold acorns.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xL2PMQ03v3E/VdqYkgw3uyI/AAAAAAAAO4Y/OfjGmaa-dOc/s1600/20150823-IMG_5235.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xL2PMQ03v3E/VdqYkgw3uyI/AAAAAAAAO4Y/OfjGmaa-dOc/s640/20150823-IMG_5235.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I still cant believe my quick and simple little project made it into a national publication! It was an exciting day for me when I spotted the magazine on the newsstands. I wanted to show the pictures to everyone in the store but I resisted the urge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OzqOAUfaWZo/VdqjjCL9xUI/AAAAAAAAO40/S5dsfeepc7s/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage%2BBHG%2BHoliday%2BMag%252C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OzqOAUfaWZo/VdqjjCL9xUI/AAAAAAAAO40/S5dsfeepc7s/s640/PicMonkey%2BCollage%2BBHG%2BHoliday%2BMag%252C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
If you pick up a copy my project is on page 71. There are a lot of really cute ideas in the magazine. I'm thinking of trying my hand at a couple of them. Thanks for stopping by, Ill be sharing my news with the following linkups,<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Its finally staring to warm up in my neck of the woods.It was a beautiful day today. In need of little a recharge I decided to add a little spring in the house.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8tydKVgDyYU/VTbNyo49LjI/AAAAAAAAOBs/R7AR5BTD92Y/s1600/20150421-IMG_5089B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8tydKVgDyYU/VTbNyo49LjI/AAAAAAAAOBs/R7AR5BTD92Y/s1600/20150421-IMG_5089B.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
A while ago I decided to use a few of my decorating books as decorative elements on my coffee table. It keeps my books handy and adds a little color to my room. I can reach for a book and browse through it without having to dig one out of a box. I didn't do a lot, just some new pillows and a springtime vignette on the coffee table and end table<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7lu3jmbJ7e0/VTbXjRqbtzI/AAAAAAAAOCI/PSgMJtqpkRI/s1600/20150421-IMG_5093C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7lu3jmbJ7e0/VTbXjRqbtzI/AAAAAAAAOCI/PSgMJtqpkRI/s1600/20150421-IMG_5093C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I added moss to peat pots and eggs under a cloche. I used a pretty plate to hold it all<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bTkMlWKSao4/VTbarNonU2I/AAAAAAAAOCg/ssWptrMFGxk/s1600/IMG_5110.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bTkMlWKSao4/VTbarNonU2I/AAAAAAAAOCg/ssWptrMFGxk/s1600/IMG_5110.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
.<br />
A moss ball was added to an urn that I painted and distressed. Along with some potted tulips that I purchased at the grocery store.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M8Wex9IJt2g/VTbcDt3GVrI/AAAAAAAAOCs/B4btm6K0vJk/s1600/20150421-IMG_5101USETHIS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M8Wex9IJt2g/VTbcDt3GVrI/AAAAAAAAOCs/B4btm6K0vJk/s1600/20150421-IMG_5101USETHIS.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I added a birdcage to the side table that my husband bought home from a function and a nest under a cloche.Can you believe that they threw the birdcages used for centerpieces in the trash? It was formerly green and I spray painted it white. I added purple ball jars filled with flowers to the birdcage. The greenery and pussy willow arrangement was on the coffee table but people who shall remain nameless kept moving it because it blocked their view of the tv so I just plunked it down on my stacked suitcases and there it stayed.<br />
<br />

I've been in a time warp of sorts, between multiple Drs. appointments,medical test and just plain feeling crappy Easter has sort of crept up on me. I cant believe it's only a week away. I decided to put together a Easter table setting before I missed it all together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wh67lZyDoBk/VRYBkw9ukGI/AAAAAAAANhQ/ir4P9EKuDr0/s1600/IMG_5069CC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wh67lZyDoBk/VRYBkw9ukGI/AAAAAAAANhQ/ir4P9EKuDr0/s1600/IMG_5069CC.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided to use pink,blue and white with touches of silver. I love pretty pastel colors, especially for Eater.<br />

In my confused state of mind I snapped this pic and then realized I had forgotten the glassware!<br />

The pink tablecloth and napkins and chargers are from The Christmas Tree Shoppe, The blue polka dot runner is from TJ Maxx. The glasses are thrift store purchases.<br />

This Valentines Day I wanted to set a pretty and romantic table, loaded with my favorite flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L7EkFOJDZRI/VNEx55xoP6I/AAAAAAAANRQ/AqmCZbVQohc/s1600/IMG_5008OPENWITHTHISSHOT.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L7EkFOJDZRI/VNEx55xoP6I/AAAAAAAANRQ/AqmCZbVQohc/s1600/IMG_5008OPENWITHTHISSHOT.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I bought an armload of flowers inexpensively from my local produce outlet and got to work.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N-bUC1UZ_w8/VNEzg6U-E0I/AAAAAAAANRk/uRVfmleV-j0/s1600/IMG_4955D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="588" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N-bUC1UZ_w8/VNEzg6U-E0I/AAAAAAAANRk/uRVfmleV-j0/s1600/IMG_4955D.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my thrift store Homer Laughlin china, silver, candlesticks and vases. The chargers are a recent purchase from The Christmas Tree Shoppe and the glasses and flatware I've had for many years.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-S145I6ha7q4/VNEziohZgnI/AAAAAAAANSA/c6CTkGdp3bA/s1600/IMG_4969F.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-S145I6ha7q4/VNEziohZgnI/AAAAAAAANSA/c6CTkGdp3bA/s1600/IMG_4969F.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I rolled the napkins and tied them with jute twine and made name tags from images from the <a href="http://thegraphicsfairy.com/">The Graphics Fairy</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wgqVcTahZBA/VNEzmMkdxFI/AAAAAAAANSg/e_pnYmXEfVs/s1600/IMG_5007II.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="394" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wgqVcTahZBA/VNEzmMkdxFI/AAAAAAAANSg/e_pnYmXEfVs/s1600/IMG_5007II.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I don't usually mix metals but I thought it would be fun and festive to mix a little gold and silver on the table.The china has a gold rim and so do the glasses, so I used my gold flatware.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N-bUC1UZ_w8/VNEzg6U-E0I/AAAAAAAANRk/uRVfmleV-j0/s1600/IMG_4955D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="588" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N-bUC1UZ_w8/VNEzg6U-E0I/AAAAAAAANRk/uRVfmleV-j0/s1600/IMG_4955D.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The gold flatware ties in with the gold rimmed glasses and china and the silver chargers tie in with the vintage silver pieces.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XBCRNjwgyG4/VNEzgZ196YI/AAAAAAAANRc/eqA0-KCc7LM/s1600/IMG_4943BLEADSHOT.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="462" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XBCRNjwgyG4/VNEzgZ196YI/AAAAAAAANRc/eqA0-KCc7LM/s1600/IMG_4943BLEADSHOT.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Hydrangeas and roses, my favorite flowers and in my favorite colors just make me happy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pIz4yvxne3o/VNEzjNu1PrI/AAAAAAAANSQ/9PA-39Bx7YQ/s1600/IMG_4997H.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pIz4yvxne3o/VNEzjNu1PrI/AAAAAAAANSQ/9PA-39Bx7YQ/s1600/IMG_4997H.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HwG3xFq3dog/VNEzlxglrfI/AAAAAAAANSc/qHXMgMt83i0/s1600/IMG_5004HH.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HwG3xFq3dog/VNEzlxglrfI/AAAAAAAANSc/qHXMgMt83i0/s1600/IMG_5004HH.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wgqVcTahZBA/VNEzmMkdxFI/AAAAAAAANSg/e_pnYmXEfVs/s1600/IMG_5007II.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="394" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wgqVcTahZBA/VNEzmMkdxFI/AAAAAAAANSg/e_pnYmXEfVs/s1600/IMG_5007II.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My tablecloth is a thrift store purchase. It has been mended in many places by whomever owned it before me. The thought that someone loved it so much that they repaired it when it became worn makes it precious to me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well I started my Christmas decorating early and ended late. We took a trip and I came home in a full blown flare up. I was only able to do a very minimal amount each day. I ended up scaling back my plans considerably. I'm grateful that I was able to accomplish what I did.The struggle was real folks, I'm late for every holiday link up but better late then never! So here's my living room and dining room dressed up a little for Christmas!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jw_TXeRfgaE/VJH3yuKp4xI/AAAAAAAAM9Y/SGozQLbqP7c/s1600/IMG_4887LEADPIC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jw_TXeRfgaE/VJH3yuKp4xI/AAAAAAAAM9Y/SGozQLbqP7c/s1600/IMG_4887LEADPIC.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my tabletop tree again this year and placed it in a wine crate that I wrapped in the same birch wrapping paper that I used for my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2014/12/quick-dollar-store-candle-makeover.html">dollar store candles</a> makeover. The cute fawn pillow was a H&M Home purchase.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nG3hXONRQoo/VJH5lEDTRmI/AAAAAAAAM90/0MTizMmq8YU/s1600/IMG_4889THIRDLEAD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nG3hXONRQoo/VJH5lEDTRmI/AAAAAAAAM90/0MTizMmq8YU/s1600/IMG_4889THIRDLEAD.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I bought faux fur from the fabric store with the intention of making fur pillows, nope didn't happen, so I just draped the fabric over the back of my chair and called it a fur throw.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h28zKuHb6O0/VJH6PfRyi0I/AAAAAAAAM-M/31fggIOPqgU/s1600/IMG_48751C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h28zKuHb6O0/VJH6PfRyi0I/AAAAAAAAM-M/31fggIOPqgU/s1600/IMG_48751C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I put my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-dollar-store-christmas-house.html">dollar store Christmas house</a> on the floor under my mora clock. I just like the way it looks with the tree and the clock.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I_fN5SIsbD4/VJH6PvO_-PI/AAAAAAAAM-U/9inh0LiXGwU/s1600/IMG_48761B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="474" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I_fN5SIsbD4/VJH6PvO_-PI/AAAAAAAAM-U/9inh0LiXGwU/s1600/IMG_48761B.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Just another view of the sitting area, you can see my sad little paper whites struggling along. I just am not good with growing things indoors.My armoire will be moved to my bedroom someday and a DIY Trumeau will go behind my as yet unfinished settee.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xh0z34y7FSQ/VJH6PqcaUeI/AAAAAAAAM-Q/6fuPmGtEcq4/s1600/IMG_48771A.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
A fast <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-coffee-table-and-little-fall.html">coffee table vignette</a> using bottle brush trees purchased from Target, some trees that I bleached and flocked a couple of years ago, my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2012/11/snowy-dollar-village.html">snowy dollar store village</a> and a thrift store bowl filled with mercury glass ornaments, feathers and a few sprigs of greenery.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GYLa_FrFAmw/VJH6Rsax9TI/AAAAAAAAM-8/faLKNcbqUzE/s1600/IMG_4909DEETSHOT5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GYLa_FrFAmw/VJH6Rsax9TI/AAAAAAAAM-8/faLKNcbqUzE/s1600/IMG_4909DEETSHOT5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4XGlB7KBF64/VJH6Rg-BC-I/AAAAAAAAM_A/xoAEXBUAfTY/s1600/IMG_4910DEETSHOT6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4XGlB7KBF64/VJH6Rg-BC-I/AAAAAAAAM_A/xoAEXBUAfTY/s1600/IMG_4910DEETSHOT6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Here's a close up of the wine crate wrapped in the birch paper and my white deer that started out a bright turquoise, it was a pretty color but the glitter was atrocious. I applied a coat of gesso to the turquoise glitter and then two coats of antique white paint, a light coat of snowy glitter and I liked it much better.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I ordered paper script ribbon from Decor Steals, it kind of reminded me of bark so I added it to the tree.It kind of ties in with the birch candles and planter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pzeoTMNWTis/VJH6SGBAmSI/AAAAAAAAM_M/din5XgEfQmE/s1600/IMG_4915TREEDEET.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pzeoTMNWTis/VJH6SGBAmSI/AAAAAAAAM_M/din5XgEfQmE/s1600/IMG_4915TREEDEET.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I only used birds, nest, ribbon and icicles on the tree. Oh I also added white faux hydrangeas deep in the branches.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6_vj6D6D9_0/VJH5ZcKew5I/AAAAAAAAM9s/9QHJ9IcrhYM/s1600/1D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6_vj6D6D9_0/VJH5ZcKew5I/AAAAAAAAM9s/9QHJ9IcrhYM/s1600/1D.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

This is the vignette that I created on my buffet. I ordered the download for the print from <a href="http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/">Dear Lillie</a> and had an engineer print made at Staples. The standing deer started out life the same as the one next to the tree. It got the same makeover.The sitting deer is a new purchase from Target.<br />

A few close ups of the buffet vignette. The ice skates were made last year.<br />

I set the table using my mom's china, my everyday flatware and chargers that I purchased years ago from the dollar store.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The candle holders are all thrift store finds and the goblets were bought from the dollar store years ago. The vintage tablecloth was a Goodwill purchase a few years ago. It's tattered and mended in spots but I still love it.<br />

This Christmas I wanted to add a little white birch to my Christmas decor and while I was cruising the aisles at Pier One I spotted <a href="http://www.pier1.com/Birch-Embossed-Gift-Wrap/2838670,default,pd.html">this</a> great birch embossed wrapping paper. Immediately about twenty potential projects popped into mind. I started with wrapping it around my dollar store candles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ok404eaYoco/VIYUvKfWu4I/AAAAAAAAMtQ/TgKzd6vchtA/s1600/IMG_4838EE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ok404eaYoco/VIYUvKfWu4I/AAAAAAAAMtQ/TgKzd6vchtA/s1600/IMG_4838EE.jpg" width="614" /></a></div>
<br />
I used these dollar store holy candles, you can also find them at the grocery store.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5sYUFXniN9Q/UKf6evnpEhI/AAAAAAAAC8g/eT0tVFgJpJI/s1600/IMG_2014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5sYUFXniN9Q/UKf6evnpEhI/AAAAAAAAC8g/eT0tVFgJpJI/s1600/IMG_2014.JPG" width="438" /></a></div>
<br />
Just measure the height and circumference of the candle, cut your paper to those dimensions and glue or tape the paper around the candle. I used double stick tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bt2-FNACgno/VIYUuq5RWnI/AAAAAAAAMtE/8iOcu2i11Ak/s1600/IMG_4830AA.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bt2-FNACgno/VIYUuq5RWnI/AAAAAAAAMtE/8iOcu2i11Ak/s1600/IMG_4830AA.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I sprinkled a little snow glitter around the top edge of the candles. After about ten minutes of crafting I had these pretty faux birch candles. The paper is very sturdy and realistic looking. The roll was only 7.00 bucks and it's 30" x 96". I have a couple more projects I'm thinking of using it for.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HvZr2ZAxtZc/VIYUun2g2OI/AAAAAAAAMtI/j-xTIpeBavo/s1600/IMG_4835BB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="618" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HvZr2ZAxtZc/VIYUun2g2OI/AAAAAAAAMtI/j-xTIpeBavo/s1600/IMG_4835BB.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used these same candles to make <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2012/11/romantic-candles.html">these</a> a couple of years ago. If you would like to see a few more dollar store projects click <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2012/11/snowy-dollar-village.html">here</a> and <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2011/11/dollar-store-ornaments-remix.html">here</a>, for one more go <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-dollar-store-christmas-house.html">here</a>. I'm decorating for Christmas earlier than usual this year because we're going out of town for a week the day after Thanksgiving. I'm excited about visiting family and at the same time anxious because it's a whole weeks setback. I'm sharing my first Christmas project now because I'll be away and I don't think I'll be taking my computer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qWYsHukl_BI/VHTFnSMqmgI/AAAAAAAAMj8/OXxTC0ebaNo/s1600/IMG_4825LEADPIC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qWYsHukl_BI/VHTFnSMqmgI/AAAAAAAAMj8/OXxTC0ebaNo/s1600/IMG_4825LEADPIC.jpg" width="634" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This year I'm doing a snowy woodland winter. I thought a snowball wreath would work well with that theme.However the thought of making tons of pom poms by hand was not appealing to me so I bought two large bags of white pom poms in assorted sizes and glued them to a Styrofoam wreath that I first covered with an old white sheet torn into about one yard strips.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pnWr8JhZ6_s/VHTFnFxwINI/AAAAAAAAMj4/Kg-kIKm-jBE/s1600/IMG_4825D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pnWr8JhZ6_s/VHTFnFxwINI/AAAAAAAAMj4/Kg-kIKm-jBE/s1600/IMG_4825D.jpg" width="432" /></a></div>
<br />
I glued on a few cotton bolls for a little extra texture and because they're pretty and remind me of snow balls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rpk4k14YgDc/VHTFmfipUpI/AAAAAAAAMjw/evMokdTDHP0/s1600/IMG_4814A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="522" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rpk4k14YgDc/VHTFmfipUpI/AAAAAAAAMjw/evMokdTDHP0/s1600/IMG_4814A.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I added a little silver glass glitter to the husk of the cotton bolls for a little sparkle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ILnuYFQgppk/VHTFnjKfkmI/AAAAAAAAMkE/BShdjKNRggs/s1600/IMG_4847C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="608" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ILnuYFQgppk/VHTFnjKfkmI/AAAAAAAAMkE/BShdjKNRggs/s1600/IMG_4847C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I bought the chalkboard print from <a href="http://www.dearlillie.com/product/dashing-through-the-snow-24x36-chalkboard-download">Dear Lillie</a> to use on my buffet but I thought it made a pretty back drop for my wreath. You'll be seeing more of that later on. Thanks for stopping by. I'll have a few quick and easy projects to share later. I'll be linking up with these ladies this week,<br />

Paris our beloved fur baby has departed this earth, She was our little ray of sunshine for twelve wonderful years. Paris had one mission in life and that was to love and be loved. She was the most gentle and loving dog I've ever known. She displayed no signs of illness and left this earth gently, the very same way she lived.She went to sleep on Thursday evening November 6th and slipped away early Friday morning November 7th. We are crushed and our home has a large hole in it. We are grateful for the 12 wonderful years of unconditional love and joy she bought our family. She is and always will be, deeply missed.<br />

Ever since <a href="http://bet1975.blogspot.com/">Brandi</a> made these cute <a href="http://bet1975.blogspot.com/2014/05/cocktail-coasters.html">coasters</a> I've been dying to make a few of my own. Now that we have so many wood surfaces I figured I'd better get to it. I went to The Home Depot and bought a few tiles. I thought the 4x4 tiles were a little dainty so I bought 6x6 tiles. They are HUGE.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sEIbojfJg74/VD1a0wtezlI/AAAAAAAAMhw/uUt7z1gFr-M/s1600/IMG_4799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="592" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sEIbojfJg74/VD1a0wtezlI/AAAAAAAAMhw/uUt7z1gFr-M/s1600/IMG_4799.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I figured if I was going to go through all of the trouble of making coasters with pretty images I didn't want what ever was placed upon them to completely cover up my hard work... ha.I made two different sets. One using wrapping paper that I bought from Marshalls.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N4FqmzWCBHU/VD1aQj2DPnI/AAAAAAAAMgg/Tkt4Y7EFhFc/s1600/IMG_4770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N4FqmzWCBHU/VD1aQj2DPnI/AAAAAAAAMgg/Tkt4Y7EFhFc/s1600/IMG_4770.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8D60i_dD6g/VD1azp6MTkI/AAAAAAAAMhg/UAsC4T3BhdQ/s1600/IMG_4792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8D60i_dD6g/VD1azp6MTkI/AAAAAAAAMhg/UAsC4T3BhdQ/s1600/IMG_4792.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The other set was made using images from <a href="http://thegraphicsfairy.com/">The Graphics Fairy</a> and images purchased from Etsy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-npL6IeWEa6k/VD1ay51CK6I/AAAAAAAAMhc/sfx5i4s-1l8/s1600/IMG_4790.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="632" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-npL6IeWEa6k/VD1ay51CK6I/AAAAAAAAMhc/sfx5i4s-1l8/s1600/IMG_4790.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n5lM4k9o0hk/VD1avpjumwI/AAAAAAAAMg0/6esXuj9x5Hs/s1600/IMG_4785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="462" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n5lM4k9o0hk/VD1avpjumwI/AAAAAAAAMg0/6esXuj9x5Hs/s1600/IMG_4785.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I antiqued the wrapping paper with walnut ink and tea stain ink to give it the look of aged leather, then I brushed on three coats of poly and glued cork to the backs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8D60i_dD6g/VD1azp6MTkI/AAAAAAAAMhg/UAsC4T3BhdQ/s1600/IMG_4792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8D60i_dD6g/VD1azp6MTkI/AAAAAAAAMhg/UAsC4T3BhdQ/s1600/IMG_4792.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
I traced around the tiles and cut out the images a little wider than the tiles, then glued them to the front of the tiles, once the glue dried I trimmed the images to the exact size of the tile. I did the same with the cork.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hsksIpDvngs/VD1awTHakJI/AAAAAAAAMg4/aCGvXry6pyY/s1600/IMG_4786.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="446" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hsksIpDvngs/VD1awTHakJI/AAAAAAAAMg4/aCGvXry6pyY/s1600/IMG_4786.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The dress form image and teapot are from <a href="http://thegraphicsfairy.com/">The Graphics Fairy</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n43qeKQ0ymI/VD1aw-B0omI/AAAAAAAAMhA/O9w6Urklr8w/s1600/IMG_4787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n43qeKQ0ymI/VD1aw-B0omI/AAAAAAAAMhA/O9w6Urklr8w/s1600/IMG_4787.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I purchased the typewriter image, French script background and birds nest from Etsy. First I printed the French script and then I ran it back through the printer and printed the dress form and the other images on top of the French script. After the images were glued to the tiles I inked the edges with a black stamp pad.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n5lM4k9o0hk/VD1avpjumwI/AAAAAAAAMg0/6esXuj9x5Hs/s1600/IMG_4785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="462" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n5lM4k9o0hk/VD1avpjumwI/AAAAAAAAMg0/6esXuj9x5Hs/s1600/IMG_4785.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2AJBT1UIrxA/VD1ayEk6U7I/AAAAAAAAMhQ/Njich4KzSlk/s1600/IMG_4789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="482" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2AJBT1UIrxA/VD1ayEk6U7I/AAAAAAAAMhQ/Njich4KzSlk/s1600/IMG_4789.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I ran out of cork for the backs so I used some extra rug pad that I had lying around. I just traced around the pad and glued it to the backs of the tile, same as the cork. Now I have cute coasters that are large enough to hold a drink,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J2r0sjx5f2k/VD1bHd5v-dI/AAAAAAAAMiE/Nl0NAMrrRoE/s1600/IMG_4801.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="576" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J2r0sjx5f2k/VD1bHd5v-dI/AAAAAAAAMiE/Nl0NAMrrRoE/s1600/IMG_4801.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Or a large bowl of homemade butternut squash soup,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BxIhKoecvNI/VD1bH0D6XrI/AAAAAAAAMh8/DMpbUdu64jA/s1600/IMG_4808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="432" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BxIhKoecvNI/VD1bH0D6XrI/AAAAAAAAMh8/DMpbUdu64jA/s1600/IMG_4808.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

For some reason it took me all week to finish this vignette. I had a million and one interruptions. I was waiting on pumpkins at first and after the pumpkins appeared in the stores I just kept hitting snags along the way. I almost said forget it, by the time I finish this no one will be interested in fall decor. However I managed to get it done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

.<br />
I love it when other bloggers use those beautiful vintage breadboards as backdrops in photos. I don't own any yet but I have a boat load of vintage thrifted silver so I decided to take it out of the cupboards and use it in my vignette.<br />

<br />
This year I wanted to use real pumpkins and other natural elements like dried hydrangea from my sad hydrangea crop and dried seed pods from the coneflowers that have long since bloomed. I also used some dried liartis also from the garden. I added in some moss from my stash and cotton boll stems.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2XZlaCLiuK0/VCiRVqMni6I/AAAAAAAAMZI/VJImRzZMzWs/s1600/IMG_4756.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="484" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2XZlaCLiuK0/VCiRVqMni6I/AAAAAAAAMZI/VJImRzZMzWs/s1600/IMG_4756.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
I also bought a few tiny pots of ornamental kale and added them to my vintage coffee pot and planted a few in a milk glass pot and added it to my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-coffee-table-and-little-fall.html">coffee table</a>.<br />

<br />
I added a few painted pumpkins to my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-coffee-table-and-little-fall.html">coffee table</a> along with the ornamental kale.<br />

When my children were growing up we ate every meal at the table. Well now that we have an adults only house we like to grab a bite in front of the tv sometimes and watch a movie. The white ottoman that we had didn't give us enough room to set drinks or plates of goodies. So we built a coffee table to replace the ottoman.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NYEXoYrcSig/VBiZVAzK8iI/AAAAAAAAMJ8/IfwkfFbfbww/s1600/IMG_4634.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="446" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NYEXoYrcSig/VBiZVAzK8iI/AAAAAAAAMJ8/IfwkfFbfbww/s1600/IMG_4634.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
When I saw a raised planter at The Christmas Tree Shoppe I thought to myself hmmm I think I could make a coffee table from this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MRdcKnX2Rsg/VBia3fYE5CI/AAAAAAAAMKI/Cxst7KZ7_ho/s1600/IMG_4598.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MRdcKnX2Rsg/VBia3fYE5CI/AAAAAAAAMKI/Cxst7KZ7_ho/s1600/IMG_4598.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
It was 19.99 and I thought it would make a big enough surface to place drinks and snacks on movie nights, or when entertaining.I went to Home Depot and had two 8x10x2 pine boards cut into 36 inch lengths to make planks for the top. We had 3/4 inch plywood on hand and my husband cut it into a 36" square to make the base.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TucjmSV8kLI/VBig7ZhkfpI/AAAAAAAAMMs/NObYiKOGfZE/s1600/IMG_4585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="482" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TucjmSV8kLI/VBig7ZhkfpI/AAAAAAAAMMs/NObYiKOGfZE/s1600/IMG_4585.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The planks were screwed together with two strips of plywood.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S1U1jP1WtZo/VBig89UQ1-I/AAAAAAAAMNI/KtWqtY8Qlf0/s1600/IMG_4590.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S1U1jP1WtZo/VBig89UQ1-I/AAAAAAAAMNI/KtWqtY8Qlf0/s1600/IMG_4590.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The planter was pre drilled so it made for fast construction. After it was assembled my husband joined the planter to the plywood base using L brackets.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-szIoFV3wWVQ/VBig8SsptTI/AAAAAAAAMNE/QOu-yTmmEHE/s1600/IMG_4588.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-szIoFV3wWVQ/VBig8SsptTI/AAAAAAAAMNE/QOu-yTmmEHE/s1600/IMG_4588.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Wheels were added, first they were screwed into an 18" square and then attached to the base.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iE9e0FmZHTk/VBig7X0zyeI/AAAAAAAAMM0/7K03JyNvxSA/s1600/IMG_4584.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iE9e0FmZHTk/VBig7X0zyeI/AAAAAAAAMM0/7K03JyNvxSA/s1600/IMG_4584.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My husband designed the top so we could slide it on and off for storage. Once all the pieces were put together it looked like this<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--5_gQaquMtw/VBig9XaD1rI/AAAAAAAAMNM/xZagBwoXN74/s1600/IMG_4594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--5_gQaquMtw/VBig9XaD1rI/AAAAAAAAMNM/xZagBwoXN74/s1600/IMG_4594.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4SJD8CUMS8s/VBig7ixJ-HI/AAAAAAAAMMw/lY78vzO3hpQ/s1600/IMG_4581.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4SJD8CUMS8s/VBig7ixJ-HI/AAAAAAAAMMw/lY78vzO3hpQ/s1600/IMG_4581.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
After a lot of back and forth on how to finish the wood I decided to wash it in in a 50/50 mixture of paint and water. I used three colors white, grey and a very light blue. I applied one layer of paint and while it was still wet I applied another wiping after each color until I got the right blend. The total cost of the coffee table was around 60.00 dollars.<br />

After it was all said and done I added a little fall decor to the room. I'm not finished yet and I'll be back later with more pics once I'm finished redoing my settee.<br />

I mentioned in my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2014/07/a-new-window-treatment.html"> window treatment post</a> that I was building a new side table. Well it's actually just two pieces screwed together, no real building involved ha!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PQTz_OSnLLM/U_alvsjWIWI/AAAAAAAALhk/q7mbNjvpOjQ/s1600/IMG_4546.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="530" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PQTz_OSnLLM/U_alvsjWIWI/AAAAAAAALhk/q7mbNjvpOjQ/s1600/IMG_4546.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I inherited my mom's French Provincial dining room set. I love it but it had a double pedestal base that felt to bulky for my small dining area, so I removed the pedestals and replaced them with curvy Queen Anne legs that I bought from ebay. Looking at those pedestals gave me an idea, why not make a new side table from the pedestal. Here's what I started with<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD2amWoQD7wE2xvyVaAQtmZRWKjEK6thjDIE2TEnrNy3IH3uCTwJVZ26CUceuywyuDq-rctdAOtUg0fAWNWxeoONla3YudUSFzdXd-sVdQyv4PnaLUY-CT9npFQMbTsctsoUo9frvhe1YO/s1600/IMG_4509.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD2amWoQD7wE2xvyVaAQtmZRWKjEK6thjDIE2TEnrNy3IH3uCTwJVZ26CUceuywyuDq-rctdAOtUg0fAWNWxeoONla3YudUSFzdXd-sVdQyv4PnaLUY-CT9npFQMbTsctsoUo9frvhe1YO/s1600/IMG_4509.JPG" width="482" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The pedestal like I said came from mom's table and I ordered the pine top from <a href="http://www.homedepot.com/p/Kimberly-Bay-1-in-x-30-in-x-2-5-ft-Pine-Edge-Glued-Panel-Round-Board-ZPRLR0130/205022789?quantity=1&str_nbr=0930">The Home Depot</a>. My husband screwed the top to the base using wood screws ... then it looked like this,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KNZfWGPulmw/U_alsup3UmI/AAAAAAAALgk/-oqSrPHsKFo/s1600/IMG_4514.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KNZfWGPulmw/U_alsup3UmI/AAAAAAAALgk/-oqSrPHsKFo/s1600/IMG_4514.JPG" width="634" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The base was pretty banged up from being stored in the pit of hell aka my shed. But that worked for me because I like a little distressing . I painted the top and bottom using a sample paint from The Home Depot, it's just a basic white.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m6raN60a2VY/U_al0SLjMkI/AAAAAAAALis/wouikPohWro/s1600/IMG_4563.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="578" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m6raN60a2VY/U_al0SLjMkI/AAAAAAAALis/wouikPohWro/s1600/IMG_4563.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I used multiple layers of a 50/50 wash of paint and water on the top and pedestal and rubbed it back after each layer until I got the effect that I wanted.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Cuz7mmXx738/U_alzntShCI/AAAAAAAALig/kWQTP3U3yFk/s1600/IMG_4560.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Cuz7mmXx738/U_alzntShCI/AAAAAAAALig/kWQTP3U3yFk/s1600/IMG_4560.JPG" width="596" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Then I scuffed it up with a sanding block and putty knife..</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MMBABdXAloE/U_al0Mht8hI/AAAAAAAALio/-Cw-jYVPdOk/s1600/IMG_4561.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MMBABdXAloE/U_al0Mht8hI/AAAAAAAALio/-Cw-jYVPdOk/s1600/IMG_4561.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I waxed the table with minwax clear wax and sat it in place. It totally breaks the rules for side table height but I like it anyway. The table cost me 23.00 bucks total since I had everything but the top. I think it looks a lot like this one from <a href="http://www.potterybarn.com/products/walsh-statement-base-side-table/?cm_src=PIPRecentView">Pottery Barn</a>. I like the price of mine much better though.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I still haven't installed my new flooring in the living room. I have to add another layer of subflooring to even out the floors between the kitchen, dining room and living room.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

As I told you in the first post my family had the privilege of vacationing on the beautiful island of Maui. It was our first time visiting the paradise that is the Hawaiian Islands but it certainly wont be the last. There is so much to see, we barely scratched the surface. I already shared a few pics from the beach and our lovely view from our condo, now I'd like to share some photos from our cruise around the island and the fantastic Luau. We took a cruise around the Island on the beautiful Catamaran "Hula Girl".<br />

Being the good tourist that we are we couldn't leave the Island without attending a Luau. We went to the Old Lahaina Luau, reported to be one of the most authentic Luaus in Hawaii. They served traditional Hawaiian food buffet style. It was so delicious that I didn't photograph any of it... too busy chowing down hehe. Here's a few pics of the extraordinary performance. The Luau tells the story of the indigenous Hawaiian people along with some of the folklore and traditions. It was beautiful and exciting to watch and learn.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
From July 22-27 we had the privilege of vacationing in beautiful Hawaii. We stayed in a condo in the lovely Kapalua Villas in Kapalua on the island of Maui. We arrived in Maui jet lagged and tired after 11 hours of flying. When I saw the beauty of this grand island all fatigue and jet lag disappeared.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The lanai right off of the living room</td></tr>

This part of the island gets the most wonderful trade winds. We scarcely used the air conditioner. We opened the sliding doors and the most glorious breeze would blow through the whole place. Here are the gorgeous views from our lanai.<br />

The beaches are like nothing I've ever seen before. Volcanic rock makes the most beautiful niches and backdrops on the sand and ocean. I'll just let the pictures do the talking.<br />

My slow re-decorating is continuing. Since I haven't posted any updates lately I thought I would share my new living room window treatment. Even if my room is still miles away from done and you can totally see project wood sticking out from under my sofa LOL<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--wRyPZ25dr4/U7m2FJbpN_I/AAAAAAAAI6U/knNskXNYEcY/s1600/IMG_3854EE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="534" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--wRyPZ25dr4/U7m2FJbpN_I/AAAAAAAAI6U/knNskXNYEcY/s1600/IMG_3854EE.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I wanted a lighter and more tailored window so I put up semi sheer curtains from Ikea and bamboo blinds that I ordered from Overstock.com. I added a sisal rug also ordered from Overstock.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GBCn6TtIvFE/U7m2w9F5rhI/AAAAAAAAI6s/Xnu8R4DlexE/s1600/IMG_3833BB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GBCn6TtIvFE/U7m2w9F5rhI/AAAAAAAAI6s/Xnu8R4DlexE/s1600/IMG_3833BB.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I removed my side table because I'm making a new one, so in the meantime I added my suitcases stacked on top of a bench I remade a while ago. I'm also making a new slipcover for the sofa and I haven't decided on pillows yet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lERclJg5Mys/U7m2K9b0P6I/AAAAAAAAI6c/mZaluCZDALU/s1600/IMG_3842CC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lERclJg5Mys/U7m2K9b0P6I/AAAAAAAAI6c/mZaluCZDALU/s1600/IMG_3842CC.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Do you see that little guy in the corner on the left? He is one of the reasons that I'm constantly changing pillows! He and his furry buddy keep them wrecked.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3y39_ClDXY/U7m23WdmOvI/AAAAAAAAI64/5IUUwkEpKmk/s1600/IMG_3850DD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="432" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3y39_ClDXY/U7m23WdmOvI/AAAAAAAAI64/5IUUwkEpKmk/s1600/IMG_3850DD.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Well look who decided to join in on the fun! These are the little pillow wreckers barking there heads off at my neighbors because they had the nerve to ride their bikes pass our house. It's still a work in progress but you can see a little sliver of my dining room feature wall. Not quite done in there yet either <i>SIGH.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--wRyPZ25dr4/U7m2FJbpN_I/AAAAAAAAI6U/knNskXNYEcY/s1600/IMG_3854EE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="534" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--wRyPZ25dr4/U7m2FJbpN_I/AAAAAAAAI6U/knNskXNYEcY/s1600/IMG_3854EE.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

Remember when I painted my <a href="http://shabbysweetcottage.blogspot.com/2013/11/painted-wood-burner-and-tile.html">wood burner</a> the fist time? I was so pleased. Until this happened after we used it a few times,<br />

<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TeKdrd8oVLI/U5UtjpYBHAI/AAAAAAAAIxM/s96XKvNJG4U/s1600/IMG_3730DD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="532" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TeKdrd8oVLI/U5UtjpYBHAI/AAAAAAAAIxM/s96XKvNJG4U/s1600/IMG_3730DD.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Clearly that spray paint that was such a pain to use did not do what it promised.It yellowed and peeled even though I prepped the stove according to the directions. Well what to do now? It looked terrible and after painting my living room it looked even worse. Thank goodness for Google.After a little searching I found this <a href="http://www.net4sale.com/Shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=54&idproduct=221">product</a>,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i6ckmBHQbTI/U5UtkUjwTWI/AAAAAAAAIxU/3mNNlvoOqDo/s1600/IMG_3751BB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="632" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i6ckmBHQbTI/U5UtkUjwTWI/AAAAAAAAIxU/3mNNlvoOqDo/s1600/IMG_3751BB.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It was expensive and stinky,I probably fried a few brain cells from the fumes, but I could tell right away that there was a world of difference between this and the previous product. It brushed on smoothly, was self leveling and dried to the touch in about 15 minutes. Here's how it looks now<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r5FBrpY5En8/U5UuYVIZi5I/AAAAAAAAIx4/MMNtzrBk9ak/s1600/IMG_3788GG.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r5FBrpY5En8/U5UuYVIZi5I/AAAAAAAAIx4/MMNtzrBk9ak/s1600/IMG_3788GG.jpg" width="552" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7fJE6lYDPs/U5UuX1BUtfI/AAAAAAAAIxw/AHhjcLToRNw/s1600/IMG_3772FF.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="546" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7fJE6lYDPs/U5UuX1BUtfI/AAAAAAAAIxw/AHhjcLToRNw/s1600/IMG_3772FF.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It has a factory like finish now that seems very hard and durable. I also painted the floor tile, I used the wall color which is Distant Gray with a few drops of the French Gray from the vestibule tile mixed in. Here's a before of the tile,<br />
<br />
<img height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QqydCmsuBnc/UnqRBOMecuI/AAAAAAAAEVA/q0fRYDD7qGs/s640/IMG_3351BB.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r5FBrpY5En8/U5UuYVIZi5I/AAAAAAAAIx4/MMNtzrBk9ak/s1600/IMG_3788GG.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r5FBrpY5En8/U5UuYVIZi5I/AAAAAAAAIx4/MMNtzrBk9ak/s1600/IMG_3788GG.jpg" width="552" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
You also get a little peek of my fresh new paint job and my new window treatment. I bought the curtains from Ikea and the curtain rod years ago on clearance from JC Penney.The curtains let in so much natural light. The house is so bright.now. The striped pillow cover is from Ikea (old) the other pillows are from Marshalls (also old). How about a little peek at the bathroom progress? Here it is!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QU8eyhfCe4k/U5UuY4z9elI/AAAAAAAAIyA/Nw1Xapuze_s/s1600/IMG_3793HH.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QU8eyhfCe4k/U5UuY4z9elI/AAAAAAAAIyA/Nw1Xapuze_s/s1600/IMG_3793HH.jpg" width="358" /></a></div>
The toilet and sink side is mostly finished but you can clearly see the ugly textured wall on the window side<br />
.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CMXOzqpn3d0/U5UuZY5g3SI/AAAAAAAAIyI/ALFSL9KW3Bg/s1600/IMG_3794II.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CMXOzqpn3d0/U5UuZY5g3SI/AAAAAAAAIyI/ALFSL9KW3Bg/s1600/IMG_3794II.jpg" width="248" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Just wait until you see the before pics, I'm almost too embarrassed to show them. This bathroom was beyond horrible.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
There will be more info on the bathroom when we get it all done and I do the final reveal. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to photograph such a tiny space. Thanks for stopping by. I'll be joining these fun linkups this week,<br />
